CORE SERVICES

FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS
We identify fatigue risks, stress concentrations, and design weaknesses early, ensuring issues are addressed before they lead to failure in service.

ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS
We investigate failed or recurring mechanical issues to identify likely causes, contributing factors and practical corrective actions.

REVERSE ENGINEERING
We recreate, validate and improve obsolete, damaged or supplier-dependent components where original design data is limited.
SECTORS WE SERVE
We bring experience across safety-critical and high-reliability sectors, giving you confidence that complex engineering challenges are handled with the required level of rigour.

CASE STUDIES
We support organisations with specialist CAD, DfM and FEA services in safety-critical and technically complex environments. These case studies show how disciplined engineering analysis and clear technical communication have helped clients reduce risk, improve performance and deliver projects with confidence.

Reaction Link Failure Investigation
A rail fleet experienced a sudden increase in reaction link failures, creating a significant safety and availability concern. The failed component formed part of a critical assembly, and its failur...

Ashraf China - CEng MIMechE
Ashraf China is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience across rail and defence industries. His work spans finite element analysis, structural assessment, root cause investigation, reverse engineering, design modification and technical assurance within safety-critical environments.
Across Transport for London and BAE Systems, Ashraf has supported projects involving failed components, obsolete parts, supplier delays, in-service reliability issues, tolerance analysis, test equipment development and FEA-led design validation. This experience gives INTERFAIC a practical, evidence-led approach to solving mechanical problems where failure, downtime or uncertainty can carry significant cost and risk.
CONTACT
If you have a failed component, uncertain design, obsolete part or modification that needs technical evidence, contact INTERFAIC to discuss the most practical next step.
Enquiries are treated confidentially and without obligation. We aim to respond within one working day.
